ITW Global Brands and The Lone Star Veterans Association Partner to host inaugural Hero & Machine Veteran Story competition

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ITW Global Brands (ITWGB) and the Lone Star Veterans Association are proud to host the inaugural Hero & Machine Veteran Story Competition for all Houston-area veterans at the ITWGB Technology Center, 6801 Portwest Drive Ste. 190 on Thursday, December 1 from 10AM-2PM. Nine car enthusiast veterans will be selected to receive a free car detailing, a gift basket full of ITW Global Brands car care products from Rain-X®, Gumout®, Black Magic®, Blue Coral®, Slick 50®, and No Touch®, and a technical demonstration on automotive care, maintenance, and performance.

 

 

“We’re dedicated to helping create a community where service members returning from the military can make a successful transition to civilian life by providing veterans, their spouses and families with support through career transition, life navigation and camaraderie, says Kevin Doffing, Interim Executive Director, The Lone Star Veterans Association. “We’re pleased ITWGB is stepping up to help us make our mission of veteran reintegration successful.”

The Lone Star Veterans Association provides combat veterans, living and serving in Texas, transition assistance, athletic engagement, family events, veteran advocacy, mental health support and other positive resources to ensure that our brothers and sisters in arms are never left behind.

To enter the contest, Houston-area veterans can submit a 250-word essay describing their relationship with their car to communications@lonestarveterans.com. Submission entries will close Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 12AM and nine (9) winners will be chosen by ITW Global Brand veterans.
